What can you expect from the intial 20 minute session?
I know how daunting these first steps can be and I want you to feel as comfortable as possible. The 20 minute initial session is an opportunity to get to know each other and see if we are a good fit. It is a chance for me to ask some questions about what has brought you to therapy and also for you to ask any questions you have too.
What can I expect from my first session?
If you decided after our initial call that you would like to work together, our first session will involve an assessment to gain a better understanding of the issues concerning you, what you are hoping to gain from therapy and discuss any questions you may have. There is no expectation to share everything straight away, we will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
How long is each session?
Sessions last 50 minutes.
How much does counselling cost?
An initial 20-minute consultaion is £20.
Ongoing sessions are £70
How many seesion should I have?
The number of sessions will depend on your individual needs and what you hope to gain from counselling. While some people find short-term therapy helpful, others may choose to work together for longer. I generally encourage an initial six sessions, as this provides time for us to build a relathionship and explore your concerns in more depth. We will regularly review how therapy is progressing for you and decide together what feels most appropriate moving forward.
